Hello here is a boat rail lamp used for docking or harbour night work I was told its a search light but I dont believe so as they tended to have a grab handle to pivot the lamp at a faster speed to locate what you are searching for. For me I think this is a work lamp or guard rail lamp for as I say night docking or night work. Made of copper and brass with bronze wing nuts mounted on a block of oak. The old switch is off an industrial machine and been adapted to work the shaped glass xl led bulb powered by 3 core twisted blue (the water) cable.

The lamp tilts and swivels and locks in the position set. Making this either a great floor uplighter or a good table lamp. Heavy and large so collection from Chertsey Surrey regards.
