1940s With a steel stem and oversized aluminium hood-shaped shade and circular base, this unusual lamp is very light in weight - making it easily portable - and has multiple uses from reading lamp to uplighter. It has been thoroughly cleaned and the shade and base lightly polished in order to retain its patina and not appear to be recently produced. It has been rewired using extra thick silk-like twisted cord in order to compliment both its proportions and style of its era. Despite obviously being manufactured for commercial purpose, its unusual shape allows it to sit very comfortably in a variety of modern interiors, domestic, retail or office. With shade fully pointed upwards it stands 145cm, horizontal is 138cm and with the shade pointed directly downwards, the lamp's height is 118cm.
